Heston shines in Ten Commandments
As Easter nears, The Ten Commandments 50th Anniversary Collection (Paramount, €28.49) is a feature-laden triple disc edition, complete with two versions of the epic, Cecil B DeMille’s 1923 version and the 1956 one with Charlton Heston as Moses.
Despite my dislike of Heston, I prefer the more recent version. Among the extras are a six part documentary entitled Moses and the Chosen People, audio commentary, newsreel footage of the 1956 premiere.
