True love doesn't run smooth, as Viola (Bynes) discovers when she disguises herself as brother Duke (Tatum) and takes his place at an elite English school, he having mitched off for a couple of weeks.

The story takes on an operatic feel full of people not quite grasping who's who, or even what, as they fall in and out of love in a series of mixed-up romances.

It's actually based, sort of, on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, without the Bard's wit or sophistication, though with just about enough good moments to carry you along … sort of.
