Gorillaz NYC gig hits problems
Animated band Gorillaz' first sell-out show in New York City was ruined this weekend when technical problems forced ambitious visuals to be scrapped at the last minute.
The Damon Albarn project, billed as a spectacle of music and digital cartoons, left fans at Harlem's Apollo Theater disappointed, with many ruing the up-to-$70 (€57) entrance fee.
A conciliatory explained: "We've been trying to rectify the problems, but it really is a dream come true to play the Apollo."
The group have another three performances scheduled at the venue this week.
