The flame’s gone out for Ford in Firewall

Ford should consider, seriously, turning away from the all-action hero roles he’s made famous. These days he simply looks too old and too tired.

Perhaps in other hands – a younger star and a better director – this thriller might have worked, but ultimately it just doesn’t work.

Ford plays a security expert whose house is invaded by bank robbers, his family held hostage … our hero slouches to the rescue.

There is nothing new and even less to excite us about this dull drama, with the exception of the always-wonderful Madsen, now restored as a very sexy actress with class.
