The Ringer is just downright bad

A storyline about a suddenly handicapped guy – fingers cut off in a gardening accident - who is hired by his dodgy uncle to scupper the Special Olympics … and this is supposed to be a comedy?
Well, it doesn’t come close to doing anything other than repulse.
The subject matter aside – we’re supposed to actually feel hearty throughout the film – it’s badly written, badly directed, badly acted … just downright bad!
Perhaps somebody somewhere thought it might become a better, more telling film but they must have been taken away and locked in a cold, dark room before shooting started.
