South Park episode pokes fun at Hayes

Animated TV series South Park has poked fun at departed star Isaac Hayes and his Scientology beliefs by killing off his character Chef in the opening episode of the next series.

Hayes quit the popular programme last week accusing its creators of promoting intolerance and bigotry. It is thought his outrage stemmed from an episode last November which mocked fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise, and insinuated the actor was a repressed homosexual.
