Kylie meets Sri Lankan theatre children

Kylie Minogue has paid credit to tsunami orphans during a surprise visit to Sri Lanka to meet a theatre group she sponsors.

The singer had the belated opportunity to meet the Children of the Sea theatre group, of which she is a patron.

The meeting had been delayed by her treatment for breast cancer. The troupe was set up by English producer Toby Gough and includes 27 Sri Lankans.

"Their triumph through adversity is inspiring," Kylie said. She added that her visit was all too short and that she hopes to return one day soon.
