Hoffman to play Henry VIII

Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is reportedly in talks to take on another real-life role - Henry VIII.

The Capote star is the favourite to play the English monarch opposite Keira Knightley, who is in negotiations to play one of Henry's six wives, Ane Boleyn.

It's not the only big movie Hoffman is considering - according to website GossipMonkey, the actor is also in talks to play The Penguin in the next Batman film.
