Doherty back in court

Troubled rock star Pete Doherty today arrived at court for a review of a 12-month community order.

The 26-year-old Babyshambles singer bustled past photographers as he turned up at Thames Magistrates Court in east London.

Wearing a dark suit, a black hat and white shoes, the former boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss looked dishevelled and said little as he walked into the court building smoking a cigarette.

He today faces a review of a community order but last night he was charged with seven counts of drug possession.

The star is due to appear at the same court tomorrow to face those charges.

Doherty is the former frontman of The Libertines. After parting from the band, he formed his latest outfit, Babyshambles.

But he is perhaps more famous as the former boyfriend of model Kate Moss.

In an interview last month, he refused to say whether he had spoke to her since she arrived back in Britain to answer police questions over allegations that she snorted cocaine.
