Oxegen music festival tickets to go on sale

Tickets for the eagerly awaited Oxegen music festival go on sale today.

The Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, the Strokes and dozens of other bands are due to perform at the festival in Punchestown, County Kildare on July 8 and 9.

Hard Fi, Goldfrapp, Damien Dempsey and Ben Harper are the latest acts to be added to the line up.

Last year, the 70,000 tickets for the festival were sold out six weeks in advance of the event.

The organisers will be operating a free shuttle bus service between Dublin and Punchestown while Dublin Bus will also be providing services.

Tickets are priced at €69.50 for a one-day pass, €130 for a two-day pass and €160 for a two-day camping pass.
