Cox goes back to her roots

Courteney Cox is going back to her small screen roots, and in someway her Gail Weathers 'Scream' persona, starring in the drama pilot 'Dirt'.

In addition to starring in the series, she'll executive produce with husband David Arquette and Matthew Carnahan.

From Touchstone Television and Coquette Productions - the company she runs with her husband - 'Dirt' will star Courtney as Lucy Spiller, the chief editor of two wildly popular supermarket tabloid newspapers.

'Dirt' is scheduled to go into production later this month in Los Angeles.
