Who, Chillis, Strokes & Chiefs headline Oxegen line-up
The line-up for the Oxegen music festival at Punchestown this summer has been announced.
The surviving members of mod-kings The Who will top the bill on the Saturday night, while the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, who regularly headline massive outdoor concerts in Ireland, will bring the curtain down on the main stage on Sunday.
Modern British guitar bands are ably represented by the Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, and the Arctic Monkeys.
Former Verve Frontman Richard Ashcroft will be continuing his comeback trail, while Bell X1 will be making their only Irish appearance this summer.
Also announced today, world music star Manu Chao, Scottish rockers Primal Scream, Iceland’s Sigur Ros, Damian ‘Son of Bob’ Marley, as well as DJs Felix da Housecat and David Morales.
The festival takes place over the weekend of July 8 and 9.
