A tale of revenge for a past wrong – there’s a lot if it about these days – makes for a well-made tale from Korea.

Lee plays a lady wrongly imprisoned for a murder – she has covered for the real killer – who, upon her release, sets out to face down the actual culprit.

It is a story of the act and meaning, and the destructive force, of revenge and it is conducted in a dark, brooding manner that wraps itself around the viewer.
