Foxx just happy with nomination

Singer/actor Jamie Foxx doesn't care that he missed out on a Grammy Award Wednesday night - he was thrilled just to be nominated.

The star never thought he'd get the chance to even release an album, let alone be nominated in the Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for his single Creepin.

Foxx credits record label boss Clive Davis for giving him the chance to make it to the Grammy ceremony.

He says, "I'm happy to be up for nomination. They said that hip-hop killed the R&B singer, Clive Davis said 'no it didn't', Jamie Foxx said 'I'm with you', and there you go."
