Lloyd Webber musical axed

Andrew Lloyd Webber's beleaguered Broadway musical The Woman In White is facing the axe just three months after it opened following a steady decline in audiences.

The show will shut a week before its London counterpart also closes its curtain.

The Broadway production has been beset by problems since it opened - leading lady Maria Friedman was forced to pull out of performances for a second time in December, following treatment for breast cancer.
