Pavarotti to honour Bosnia with Spring concert?
Opera supremo Luciano Pavarotti hopes to wow fans in Sarajevo, Bosnia, if plans to extend his farewell tour to include the former war zone materialise.
The 70-year-old's worldwide odyssey boasts a gruelling 40 dates, but he is determined to incorporate a trip to Sarajevo in April.
Pavarotti campaigned with various Bosnian charities during and after the country's 1992-95 conflict, earning him the title of UN Messenger of Peace.
In 1997 the crusading Italian also opened a music centre in the southern town of Mostar, to provide musical facilities for underprivileged children, and attempt to unite troubled communities.
