Warm romance wayward but enjoyable

Putting aside my general antipathy for Orlando Bloom, Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown (Paramount, €24.99) hits a lot of the right spots.

Warm romance wayward but enjoyable

Putting aside my general antipathy for Orlando Bloom, Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown (Paramount, €24.99) hits a lot of the right spots.

Bloom plays a down on his luck Drew Baylor, whose father’s death forces him to reassess his life just when he’s contemplating quitting it himself. Along comes the delectable Claire (Kirsten Dunst), who helps him see the light.

A warm romance that occasionally loses its way, Crowe nevertheless does enough right to hold our attention. Lending a hand are Susan Sarandon and Alec Baldwin.

Special features worth checking out are the extended scenes.
