Gilmore Girls gets DVD treatment

Gilmore Girls: The Complete First Season (Warner, €70) is a surprisingly successful comedy series where mum and daughter enjoy the perfect relationship — in fact sometimes you wonder who is supposed to be the mum.

Lorelai isn’t quite perfect though, as she breaks the American TV mould, having had a daughter at just 16. All 21 episodes are spread over 14-plus hours, with additional scenes, documentary, etc.
