Jolie and Pitt meet Annan

Brad Pitt met US Secretary General Kofi Annan at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week - fuelling speculation he is to be made a United Nations goodwill ambassador.

The actor and girlfriend Angelina Jolie - already a goodwill ambassador - talked with Annan after he addressed world business leaders at the forum.

Annan has admitted he is considering giving Pitt the high-profile role.

Pitt is a dedicated charity campaigner, working alongside Jolie and famously donating 40 orthopaedic beds to a hospital in Islamabad in earthquake-ravaged Pakistan last month.
