Steve Martin classic gets DVD treatment

Steve Martin’s film career has been a series of hits and misses – great when they work, awful when they don’t.

In The Man With Two Brains (Warner, €24.99) neurosurgeon Dr Michael Hfuhruhurr (Martin) runs into the wily Dolores Benedict (Kathleen Turner) and ends up married and suckered.

He then hooks up with a bottled brain (Sissy Spacek’s voice) and before you know it hatches a plot to replace one scheming brain with the improved model.

A decidedly more amusing caper than the plot suggests.

Comedy

Star Rating: 3/5.
