Was the famous l960s Dustin Hoffman film The Graduate fact or fiction?
Did the story of the older woman's seduction of the younger man and his subsequent romance with her daughter have any basis in real life, as rumour had it?
Here, Reiner - a past-master of clever romantic comedy - sets up a film in which one of the characters (Aniston) thinks it might have really happened.
The problem is that this is a weak, alarmingly weak, script and storyline and performed by a cast with little to entice our interest.
There seems to be a little bit of everything - intrigue, mystery, romance, comedy - thrown into the stale mix but it truly is stale and bitty.
