Geldof: 'I will make aid pledges happen'

Live 8 organiser Bob Geldof has vowed to ensure politicians stick to the aid pledges they made at last year's G8 summit in Scotland.

The former Boomtown Rats frontman plans to campaign against reneging officials should they fail to keep promises to donate 0.7 per cent of their nations' gross domestic product to help the world's poor.
