Da Vinci Code to premiere at Cannes

Ron Howard's movie adaptation of Dan Brown's best-selling novel The Da Vinci Code has been chosen to open the annual Cannes Film Festival in May.

The film, which stars Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou, is a controversial choice having enraged religious groups with it's alternative Holy Grail theory.
