Double eviction shock for Big Brother celebrities
Respect MP George Galloway, US basketball star Dennis Rodman and fake celebrity Chantelle Houghton face eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother House this week, the housemates learned today.
But what they don’t know is that the two people who receive the most votes from the public will leave in a surprise double eviction.
Seven of the eight remaining housemates went to the diary room yesterday to nominate the two people they most want to be evicted on Wednesday.
George was denied his right to do so by the rest of the group after he broke the rules by discussing nominations with actress Rula Lenska on Thursday.
George received four votes while Dennis and Chantelle got three votes each.
When the results of the nominations were announced live on Big Brother’s Little Brother today, housemates maintained their usual silence.
A grinning Chantelle, who is up for the first time, twiddled her hair, Dennis continued puffing on his cigar while George didn’t move a muscle.
Former Baywatch babe Traci Bingham’s jaw dropped to the floor as Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns looked confused and shocked.
Chantelle was first to break the silence with “Oh my God.”
She giggled and said: “This is exciting, means my foundation [make-up] problems isn’t a problem, got less time for it to last. This makes me feel little bit happier about the foundation situation.”
“Ooh mum, I’m coming,” she carried on excitedly.
Ordinary Boys frontman Preston looked upset.
Earlier on today Pete announced there was a make-up “crisis” in the house.
“This is getting serious,” agreed a clearly horrified Chantelle.
“I don’t think it’s funny,” added the singer. “Imagine how much I use. My skin goes into shock if there isn’t make-up on it.”
“I go into shock,” continued Chantelle.
Applying a mixture of Pete’s and Traci’s, Chantelle sought advice from her popstar pal Preston: “Does my face look extra brown?”
“Yes,” came the diplomatic reply.
Chantelle: “Really?”
“You look stupid. You look bright orange. You blend into the wall behind you,” replied Preston.
“Chantelle not wearing foundation is like me not wearing trousers or boxer shorts,” Preston added, addressing no-one in particular.
“You’ve been ’Tango’d’,” said Welsh rapper Maggot.
“If it’s the choice between being ’Tango’d’ and looking like a dead trout …” Chantelle mused.
George was nominated by Chantelle, Maggot, Preston and Traci; Dennis was nominated by Chantelle, entertainer Michael Barrymore and Preston, while Dennis, Pete and Traci all voted for Chantelle.
Of the MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, Maggot said: “I think it’s about time he went back... I think his constituents deserve to have him back where he belongs.”
Preston said: “I thought the world of him, I was completely sucked in... it was all part of his little plan and I’ve lost a lot of respect for him.”
Pete said he nominated Chantelle “to keep her pure... she’s won her victory... being around us sour old queens, that’ll taint her!” He said of Traci: “There’s an emptiness there... if you scratch the surface you just get more surface.”
Chantelle said she picked Dennis because: “He’s disrespectful and rude, doesn’t know the meaning of please and thank you...he’s off his rocker!”
Dennis said of Michael: “I think he’s breaking down... you can see him burning up very day.”
