Box set offers plenty for fans of doomed series

The title is a giveaway – The Complete Season of Point Pleasant (Fox, €39.99) is so called because it includes five episodes never aired as the series was pulled during its first season.

From the producer of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, this shows you can’t push the supernatural genre too far.

When Christina (Elisabeth Harnois) is washed up at the small town of Point Pleasant, she is taken in by an unsuspecting family.

Pretty soon strange things start to happen when she’s around — not unusual given that she’s Satan’s daughter!

A ‘making of’ featurette is the only extra, but it’s not worth the effort.
