Which of two potential lovers will lonely, struggling artist Mirabelle (Danes) choose as she scrapes a living as a glove-seller in a Los Angeles store?
Will it be off-the-wall designer Jeremy (Schwartzman) or the wealthy Ray (Martin)?
One is a fun sort of guy, the other is the sort of guy no romantic young lady should ever trust; but, hay, love is strange.
The film, handled brilliantly by Tucker who allows the characters to get on with the storyline with the minimum of dabbling, sets up an interesting triangle and the playing, particularly that of Schwartzman, keep you interested in the outcome.
