A re-make of the l970s comedy starring Jane Fonda and George Segal; this time with the increasingly annoying Carrey complete with his grotesque twitches.

The story concerns Dick (Carrey) who reckons life has turned around when he joins a big company, only to discover that it’s in liquidation, the boss (Baldwin) has scarpered and his wife (Leoni) has given up her job.

With the outlook bleak the hapless couple turn to crime and eventually find a way to gain revenge.

While it’s a comedy the plot also offers up a sort-of moral message and a swipe at today’s stateside situation.

Enjoy the comedy bit, if you can ignore Carrey’s contortions.
