Carlyle buries father

British actor Robert Carlyle said his last goodbyes to his father Joe at a funeral in Glasgow, Scotland, on Saturday.

The Trainspotting star attended the service with his wife Anastasia, who is currently pregnant with their third child.

Carlyle once described his 76-year-old father, who died recently, as "the greatest man I know".

A wreath of white and red roses carried a card which read: "Dearest Dad and Papa, We will all miss you very much. Peace and Love, Bobby, Anastasia, Ava and Harvey. XXX."

Carlyle was raised by his father from the age of four, after his mother walked out.

Joe's proudest moment was accompanying his son to Buckingham Palace to receive his Officer Of The Order Of The British Empire (OBE) in 1999.
