Former Sugababes singer Mutya Buena is reportedly considering a solo career, just weeks after quitting the British pop trio to focus on motherhood.

The 20-year-old Londoner quit the Round Round group last month, claiming she wanted to spend more time with her 10-month-old daughter Tahlia.

A music source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror: "Mutya is going solo. She's in talks with Island Records, who look after the Sugababes, to sort out a solo deal. Then it will be all go, she's so excited."

Buena enthuses: "I've been so busy. I'm organising my daughter's Christening and there's so much to do."
