Radiohead show cancelled due to scheduling conflict

A Radiohead concert scheduled for Chicago, Illinois' Jay Pritzker Pavilion in June has been scrapped by city officials due to a scheduling conflict.

The British rockers were due to perform at the Millennium Park complex on 19 and 20 June - dates that conflict with a Grant Park Symphony Orchestra rehearsal.

The city's Cultural Affairs department has overruled promoters' complaints that the Radiohead show should take priority over a rehearsal amid claims officials are trying to limit the number of rock shows at the venue following noise complaints from nearby residents.

Radiohead fans are set to converge on Millennium Park tonight to protest the decision to scrap the show.
