A much, much better film than many State-side critics would have you believe.

Filmed largely in Belfast, this is a film full of humour and pathos and from Murphy, as the charming transvestite Kitten, a gripping performance.

The storyline certainly packs a lot in: a search for a long-lost mother, a randy priest, a gay singer, and a touchy cop. All are brilliantly paced by Jordan. It's one of his best-ever films and is not to be missed.
