Savoy to host premiere of Breakfast on Pluto tonight

The European premiere of Neil Jordan's long-awaited Breakfast on Pluto takes place at the Savoy Cinema in Dublin this evening.

The award-winning director of the Crying Game and Interview with the Vampire has adapted his latest film from the best-selling Pat McCabe novel of the same name.

Jordan also directed the movie version of McCabe's The Butcher Boy in 1997.

Breakfast on Pluto, which follows the exploits of an Irish transvestite in London in the 1970s, features a host of Irish stars including Liam Neeson, Brendan Gleeson and Stephen Rea.

Cillian Murphy stars as the central character.
