Woody Allen heads to Spain
Woody Allen is set to honour Spain after visiting a statue of himself in Oviedo by filming his next movie there.
The movie mogul, who is famous for shooting films in his native New York, made Match Point in London last year and now plans to relocate to Spain in 2007.
The director struck a partnership deal with Spanish company Mediapro during a recent trip to Barcelona, where he performed last week with his jazz band.
Allen says: "I'm delighted to make a film in Spain, a country which has become so special to me."
Filming is set to start on the as-yet-untitled project in 2007, with Allen using a largely Spanish cast.
