Radiohead dump producer

British rockers Radiohead have dropped legendary producer Nigel Godrich in favour of Mike 'Spike' Stent.

The hitmakers decided to ditch Godrich after ten years of collaboration, in a bid to bring a new edge to their sound.

Stent has previously worked with Madonna and Bjork, while Godrich produced Paul McCartney's latest album Chaos and creation in the back yard.

Bassist Ed O'Brien says: "The records made with Nigel were a bit in the comfort zone."
