Avril Lavigne has signed up to make her acting debut in a screen adaptation of Eric Schlosser's bestselling expose Fast Food Nation.

The Canadian pop star will share the screen with Patricia Arquette, Bobby Cannavale, Luis Guzman, Ethan Hawke, Greg Kinnear, Kris Kristofferson and Wilmer Valderrama, among others.
