Buena quits Sugababes

Sugababes star Mutya Buena has sensationally quit the chart-topping British girl group.

The Ugly hitmaker, 20, who gave birth to daughter Tahila in March has performed in the group for seven years and scored a string of number one UK hits with Round Round, Freak Like Me and October's Push The Button.

But she insists her departure isn't the result of reported tensions between bandmates Keisha Buchanan, 21, and Heidi Range, 22.

She says: "My decision is based purely on my personal reasons.

"It was a very difficult decision, not a snap decision.

"I've enjoyed an unbelievable career so far and I'm so proud of what we've achieved with Sugababes."
