Blur cancel intimate London gig
British rockers Blur have cancelled a London live show because they don't feel ready to perform on stage yet.
Remaining members Damon Albarn, Alex James and Dave Rowntree - guitarist Graham Coxon was sacked in 2002 - had scheduled a last-minute gig at the Rhythm Factory in east London today.
But they have decided to concentrate on writing and recording new material for their eighth studio album.
A statement from the band reads: "The band ultimately felt they couldn't do justice to a full show right now, and want to concentrate on writing and recording instead."
