Stone gig too hot to handle

We’ve heard of singers setting the stage alight with a knock-out song but Joss Stone’s gig literally required the fire brigade.

Fans at the soul singer’s Manchester Apollo gig got more than they bargained for when the venue had to be evacuated because of a fire, the Mirror reports.

A reveller at the gig said: “Before the gig started, security had to get everyone out of the building when a fire started in the ladies toilet.

“Two fire engines and a crew dealt with the blaze and Joss finally went on stage at 9.30pm.”
