Snoop Dogg gets radio promotion

Ambitious rapper Snoop Dogg has been promoted from DJ to producer at US satellite radio network XM - and promises to use the role both to champion new music and revive old hits.

The Snoopafella hitmaker, who already has his own show with the broadcasting company, will now oversee programming for hip-hop channel The Rhyme.
