McCartney 'proud' to have known Lennon

Paul McCartney has spoken out about the death of his friend and former bandmate John Lennon, a day after the 25th anniversary of his murder.

McCartney was devastated when he discovered his longterm songwriting partner had been murdered outside his New York City apartment by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980 - but now chooses to focus on the good times they shared together.
