Belfast has like the rest of the world rediscovered the wonderful world of local writer C.S. Lewis.
To mark the release of this magnificent epic, the city is staging its first Lewis Festival. Not before time.
This is certainly a stunningly brilliant screen adaptation of the story of the children who enter an enchanting world through the doors of the wardrobe and discover the meaning of life and love and destiny.
The landscape of Ulster inspired Lewis, as did his Chjristian background, something that has given the film an undeserved controversy.
It can be viewed, quite simply, as a film full of drama and excitement the perfect treat for Christmas.
In almost every respect Adamson has captured the heart and spirit of Narnia. Have the Oscars ready for posting.
