It's great to be back, say celebrity jungle stars
The stars of TV’s I’m A Celebrity touched down on UK soil today – and declared themselves pleased to be back home.
The ITV reality show saw the inhabitants of the jungle camp braving their fears in the dreaded bush tucker trials and enduring days in the basic campsite.
Arriving at Heathrow Airport, Blue star Antony Costa, was asked if he was pleased to be back.
“Very much so,” he replied.
He admitted to missing Spurs and “the missus” and added the show had “definitely changed my life”.
TV wine expert Jilly Goolden also declared: “It’s great to be back.”
Dressed in an embroidered jacket, jeans and high heels, she said it felt like she had been on another planet and her return was like “re-entering the earth”.
Asked what she was most looking forward to, she replied: “Seeing my dog - actually my husband will kill me for saying that, so my husband first and then seeing my dog.”
She did not know what opportunities the show would bring.
“Let’s hope the doors are going to swing open,” she said, adding: “It has been very, very interesting. The funny thing is, it has been so full on... I need to get home and reflect to put it all back in position again – when I hit the earth!”
Former contestant and now presenter Tara Palmer-Tomkinson also landed at the London airport.
Dressed in black velour sweat pants and zip-up top, Tara said: “It’s great to be back. It has been the best show this time, the best one ever, we had a real blast.”
