Narnia a hit with church

Church bells could be ringing at the predicted success of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

The film, based on the best-selling books by Belfast-born C.S. Lewis, has picked up criticism for its heavy Christian themes but several major churches across the UK are viewing it as a means of filling the pews and popularising the declining attendances.

And Disney, after a run of Box Office losses, is also keeping its fingers crossed that the blockbuster proves a hit.

Chaos Theory

Irish star Stuart Townsend, having wrapped on The Best Man, has signed up alongside Emily Mortimer and Ryan Reynolds to start shooting the romantic-comedy Chaos in Vancouver in January.

Best Film

Lynch Joins Cast

Susan Lynch has joined the cast of Enniskillen-born actor Adrian Dunbar's directorial debut: Connolly. Irish actress Lynch will play Lillie Connolly alongside Peter Mullan.

Star Castle

Killyleagh Castle in County Down, made famous by Van Morrison through concerts and his hit Coney Island, is the location for In Like Flynn, as are several local shops in the beautiful little village.

Iain Glen stars in the film about an unemployed driver with musical aspirations. Other locations in Ulster include Bryansford, Tollymore Forest Park and Dromara.
