John Lennon shattered the clean-cut image of The Beatles in a 'lost' 1970 magazine interview, claiming the band took "whatever was going" for sex.

The late singer laughed about his visits to brothels in a candid recorded chat with Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner in December 1970. The recordings will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 today.
