Madonna hopes Elvis feat makes father proud

Madonna hopes her father Tony Ciccone will finally be proud of her when he learns she has the same number of top 10 hits as Elvis Presley.

The Hung Up hitmaker is desperate for her father's recognition after he publicly disapproved of her raunchy image in the 1990s. And while the pair are now reconciled, Madonna admits he remains unfazed by her stardom.

She says: "Me and Elvis? Are you kidding? I'm going to tell my dad. Maybe that will impress him."

Madonna now has 36 top 10 hits to her name - her latest album Confessions On A Dancefloor is currently number one in 25 countries.
