Model Nell launches pyjama auction

Model Nell McAndrew looked ready for bed today as she launched a charity pyjama auction.

Celebrities including Anna Friel, Denise Van Outen and Katie Melua have designed their own jim-jams.

Each pair will be auctioned on eBay with proceeds going to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in central London.

McAndrew chose a slinkier option by designing a silk camisole with matching French knickers.

The Horlicks Great Pyjama Auction will also include designs from Jo Brand, Rebecca Loos, Lady Isabella Hervey and Match of the Day pundit Alan Hansen.

A survey commissioned especially for the auction revealed 70% of women dress for comfort in bed – while only 11% go for the sexy option.

But more than 50% of men would prefer their partners to sleep in the nude.
