Pop singer-turned-reality TV star Nick Lachey is hoping to bounce back from his recent marriage split with a new sitcom.

The former 98 Degrees star, who announced his separation from his wife of three years Jessica Simpson last week, is in negotiations to play a baseball star trying to cope with a new marriage.
