Pitt spends time and money on Pakistan trip

Brad Pitt is planning to dig deep for the victims of the Pakistan earthquake after visiting an Islamabad hospital on Saturday.

The movie star and his girlfriend Angelina Jolie spent their Thanksgiving holiday in Pakistan, trying to bring a little cheer to those devastated by the October disaster, which left an estimated 86,000 dead.

And Pitt is making sure he leaves his mark in Pakistan - as well as helping to distribute supplies to remote areas hit by the quake, the actor has pledged to buy 40 orthopaedic beds for an Islamabad hospital, at a cost of more than $100,000 (€85,600).
