I’m a Celebrity’s Elaine taken to hospital

Former EastEnders star Elaine Lordan was in hospital today after collapsing on the set of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!

The 39-year-old actress, who played Lynne Slater in the popular soap, was taken from the camp after becoming unwell soon after the Australia-based show started.

She had initially felt unwell when as part of the programme she had to tightrope-walk into the camp.

It was after another bad spell that she was admitted to hospital.

An ITV spokeswoman said: “She is doing well and she is hoping to return to the camp. They kept her in to make sure that she is OK.”

Asked if she would be returning to the show, the spokeswoman said: “We have just got to wait and see.”

She added: “She didn’t feel very well after doing the tightrope walk. After that she had two occasions when she didn’t feel very well.”

On the first occasion she had said that she was fine but on the second time she needed medical assistance.
