Stewart reality show gets the chop

Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart may still be raking in the cash despite going to prison for insider trading, but it seems the there’s a crack in the gloss after it was announced that her struggling version of The Apprentice will not be given another season.

A companion show to Donald Trump’s business reality show, Martha’s twist saw the contestants compete to become the next domestic god or goddess. However, bad ratings has put paid to another lucrative franchise.

NBC has said that it was only ever supposed to run for one season, but The Donald has been casting his opinions on the show, accusing it of causing viewers to desert his original programme.

A four million drop in audience doesn’t deter Trump, who suggested that now Martha is out of the way, his version will get back on track.
